The world's first*1 interchangeable 3D lens LUMIX G 12.5mm / F12 (H-FT012) realizes 3D shooting (35mm camera equivalent: 68mm)*2. When this lens is attached, the LUMIX G Digital Single Lens Mirrorless (DSLM) cameras artificially produce an effect called visual disparity*3. Left-eye and right-eye images are captured simultaneously by the two lenses, and recorded using the side-by-side method. To view the recorded images*4, simply connect the camera to a 3D compatible TV, such as a VIERA 3DTV with an HDMI mini cable.

Images for the right and left eyes are simultaneously recorded through two lenses, using a 3D lens that artificially reproduces the phenomenon of visual disparity.

The TV alternately reproduces the left-eye and right-eye images, which are viewed through 3D Eyewear. To play back 3D images, simple insert an SD Memory Card in the slot of a Panasonic VIERA 3DTV or use an HDMI mini cable to connect the camera to a VIERA 3DTV.



Because the left and right eyes are located at different positions on the face, the left and right eyes perceive slightly different images. The difference between the two images is called "visual disparity". The brain processes these two images with visual disparity to reconstruct spatial conditions, enabling us to see thing with three-dimensional depth.
