History of Fujifilm Camera

Fujifilm was founded in 1934 in Japan as Fuji Shashin. In the early 1940’s it initially manufactured optical glass for military purposes. The Fujica Six was one of the first cameras manufactured by the company in 1948. They started manufacturing digital cameras in the late 1980’s after predicting a market shift from film to digital photography. Fujifilm had up till this point, maintained a long time near-monopoly in the film camera market in Japan.

Over the years Fujifilm have manufactured a number of series of cameras using the highest quality technology and engineering processes. A lot of Fujifilm’s cameras are aimed at providing beginners with an easy model to take good quality images with. However, they do  produce a number of cameras that are aimed at professionals.
